Cheap golf drivers - worth shopping around for!
I just bought a cheap golf driver and it was by far the best money I have spent
all year. You can find cheap name brand golf drivers on the internet and they
are not expensive at all. In fact, I am kicking myself for not shopping sooner.
I was holding off looking for new clubs because I did not think it was a good
time to be spending money and I figured a new driver would be really expensive.
Well, when I finally started looking I could not believe the deals I found on
cheap golf drivers. There were so many good deals it was hard to pick.
I ended up buying a Callaway Big Bertha and I am really happy with it. There
were also some golf drivers cheap from Ping and that made it a tough choice
because they are my two favorites. But they are not the only ones offering a
cheap golf club driver right now. Wilson has a great oversized driver that is
an incredible deal. My friends I play with on Saturday afternoons just got one
and I have to admit that it is nice.
When I wanted to find a cheap driver I started by looking around at prices on
the internet. I got a good idea of what the normal prices were and then started
looking around for sales. I also checked out the local golf stores in my town
to see what kind of cheap golf club driver deals they had going. I did not buy
anything local, but it did give me the chance to try out some of the clubs on
the driving range or hitting into the net in the store. I had read a lot of
reviews online about both clubs, but sometimes it is nice to actually hold them
in your hands and swing them to compare.
Getting such a great deal on my new driver left me extra money to pick up a
new wedge as well. The driver gets me some extra distance which tends to put
the ball right up by the green so I get a lot more use out of a wedge. I seems
like before I was always a little further out and having to hit a 9 iron. That
was alright because I really like my nine iron but I did not like my old wedge.
It had a terrible grip and the head of it just was not heavy enough. The new
Ping wedge I picked up, also on a great discount, is so much better. With that
and my new driver I am playing so much better. Now if only I could do something
about the putting.
I got my first set of clubs a long time ago and I still use the irons, but other
than that I have replaced everything else by finding cheap name brand clubs
on big discounts. Just because the clubs are cheap in price does not mean that
the quality is of. It just usually means that the manufacturer is coming out
with a new model with a few new features and wants to sell off the old ones
first to clear the market. They know that after the new one comes out, no one
will pay top dollar for the old ones. So selling them at a big discount is better
than throwing them away.
So you can get quality at cheap prices if you are smart about it. It just means
that you may not be getting the latest club that is exactly the same model that
Tiger Woods is playing with, but it is probably not going to have a huge effect
on your game at anything other than the professional level. Even there, the
game is still more psychological than anything else and players beat themselves
with negative attitude more often then they lose because their equipment let
them down.
You can definitely tell a difference, however, stepping up from a low entry
level driver to a name brand quality driver even if it is a year old. The club
will feel better when you swing it. It will be easier to make good solid contact.
And when you do make contact, the ball will go even further than you have hit
before.
