Tips to maintain high quality and good condition of custom deluxe golf carts
Custom deluxe golf carts could not remain highly aesthetic and functional if you
would not observe correct and appropriate measures to do so. You surely have spent
so much for your customized golf cart. To begin with, golf carts are already costly,
whether they are brand new or used. Golf carts custom measures also cost a premium
because there are just too many jobs to be done and too many added accessories
that should be installed. Those investments would all run into waste if you fail
to properly take care of your golf cart.
Allocate ample space in your garage for parking and storing the golf cart.
Treat the machine as an ordinary vehicle that should be kept in the garage if
not in use. You could designate a small building in your garden or yard for
golf cart storage. Why is it important? You need to protect the cart from harsh
and extreme weather conditions, accumulation of too much dust, and of course
theft, especially if it is a common problem in your neighborhood. Golf carts
are significant investments and they could cost hundreds to thousands of dollars.
Take care of your cart to be able to take care of your investment.
Be aware of the size and weight limitations of your golf cart. Usually, golf
carts require a maximum weight limit of about 2,200 pounds. You should always
make it a point not to exceed that limit. Lightweight golf carts are particularly
sensitive to excessive weight. Also make sure size and weight limits of your
cart are adhering and delivering to the requirements set by the golf course
where you play golf. Ask the golf course manager about such information so you
could make sure.
When using battery or electric powered golf cart, make sure you do not allow
the battery power to drain. It is not safe and advisable to leave no charge
left, even a little, to the battery as doing so could cause significant and
permanent damages. Be mindful and conscious about the battery charge. Usually,
the batteries of electric golf carts are charged overnight before use in the
next day. An overnight charging could make the golf cart run for a day or two
around the golf course.
Be extra careful when driving a golf cart especially if it has just rained,
the soil is still soft, and the wet grass across the golf course gets more slippery.
Do not drive on the rough or on the muddy areas as doing so might cause your
vehicle to get stuck into the mud. Drive using the 90-degree rule. That is:
drive on the target path then turn 90 degrees immediately as you get near the
ball. This strategy is said to help minimize the impact of the vehicle to the
golf course and in turn help make your cart stay in good condition without much
impact.
Do not use the golf cart for racing. The maximum speed it should have along
normal roads is 35 miles per hour (and this only applies for street legal carts).
The golf cart is not designed and made to run as fast as normal vehicles. It
is also not advisable to use them for overhaul or long-distance driving. The
cart is not meant to be driven just anywhere in the golf course. To be safe,
just stick to the designated paths. In many instances, you have to park the
cart somewhere and carry the club and irons you would need to hit the ball.
Lastly, whether you are driving a brand new, used, or refurbished golf cart,
it is best to always make sure regular maintenance is performed. This is to
help make sure your golf cart would be in functional and good condition all
the time. Think of your own car. The better and more meticulous you take care
of it, the better and longer it would last to provide good and reliable service.
Gasoline-engine carts need regular maintenance checkups while electric types
may not require one even in a long time.
