Read a Golf Equipment Rating Before You Buy
Golf equipment can be expensive, but a good golf equipment rating can save you
a bundle before you buy. I always hit the internet first when I am considering
another golf equipment purchase because I know I will find great sites that rate
golf equipment that will help me find the best buys. Golf is my number one hobby
and I am happy to spend money on it, but I want to make sure I am getting the
best clubs or balls or whatever I am buying for my money.
With the huge demand for golf equipment out there, you can find lots of sites
that will golf equipment test. My favorite ones are where you get a professional
opinion of the equipment, but you also get feedback from users who are able
to leave comments. This means that you get a lot of different opinions on the
equipment. For example, I was really unhappy with my putter a while back so
I started looking up reviews online. Everything I saw was pointing me towards
this new Calloway putter that all the reviews seemed to like. But when I read
the comments, one guy was talking about how the grips were really hard and that
turned me off because I prefer a stickier grip.
It turns out that because of that I kept looking on the page and ended up finding
on the left golf equipment rating for a Ping putter. It was rated very similarly
to the Calloway, but I know the Ping grips and know they work for me. So I got
the Ping putter and am really happy with it. Just like the rating said, it has
the perfect weight and is well balanced. The strike zone on the club is relatively
small but this is actually good because it makes you be consistent with your
stroke. After some practice with it I found my putting was definitely improved.
Even better, a couple weeks later a guy I play with got the new Callaway putter
so I got to try it too. We were on the practice green and I kept hitting off
the end into the bunker. Somehow the weight just seemed wrong and of course
I hated the grip. So I was really glad I had seen the testing on the clubs before
I bought and the result was that I got the best club for me.
The same thing holds true for other accessories, like clothing. I needed a new
mens rain jacket this year and wanted something light but water proof. It is
hard to test out the waterproofing on your own unless you take a hose into the
pro shop which I dont think they would like. So that is where finding
a golf equipment rating really saved the day. I read a bunch of tests and found
a good looking Nike pullover rain jacket that did well in all of the testing.
And I am super happy with the decision. In fact I am going to go online and
shop for the same jacket in womens and kids sizes also for my wife and kids.
Hopefully I can even find it on a discount.
Reviews are also great for golf balls. You would go broke if you tried to buy
and try out all the new balls they come out with, but a golf equipment test
can handle that for you. That way you can narrow your choices down to the ones
with the characteristics that you like and not have try so many. I dont
have as much power as I used to have, so I am always looking for the ball that
goes the furthest. If you tend to sail you shots off into the woods, you might
be better served by a ball with more control and spin. It can help keep you
in the fairway. And if a good golf equipment rating can help you find the right
ball and keep you in the fairway it can save you money and your sanity. I just
read another review on a ball that is supposed to give you ten more yards on
your tee shot so it is time to go shopping.
