There are rules and regulations set for equipment used in match and tournament play by the USGA, but when you are just playing with friends, there is no reason not to use illegal golf equipment to your advantage. Even on a friendly round of 18 holes on a Sunday afternoon, I still have a whole lot more fun when I am winning. And with the illegal golf balls I picked up, that happens a whole lot more often.

I told my buddies that I have been hitting the driving range at lunch during the week, and while it is true that I do get out there on occasion, the real change has come from the illegal golf driver I got online. It is so light and accurate; no wonder they cannot let those guys use it on the tour. It would make the courses too easy. For me at my level, it just makes playing more fun. I hit further. I stay out of the rough more so I stay in a good mood more of the time.

My illegal driver is the best club I have ever had. It is lighter than you can imagine but it is enormously oversized. I guess after I get a big enough lead on these guys in the little bit of betting we do each week I will eventually have to break down and tell them the truth. Then by the next week everyone will have gone online and gotten the same illegal equipment. Oh well, I play great with it now and I will play great with it next week too. And that is what is important to me.
